ALDI continues to dominate not only our hearts but official wine competitions with the news that it has once again picked up a major award at the Sydney International Wine Competition.
The food retailer is becoming somewhat of a safe bet when it comes to wine shows, having already won a number of awards this year such as best white wine at the Western Australia wine show and some 15 gold awards at various shows across the country.
Proving that we needn’t feel shame for our cheap tastes, ALDI has won the Best Medium Bodied Dry Red for it’s One Road Shiraz 2017, which – get this – is literally only $7. It’s particularly of note because the Sydney International Wine Competition is unique in being the only international wine show that judges all of the finalists in combination with food – so you know that the award-winning wine is not only good on it’s own, but it compliments what you eat as well!
