Bryan began his working career as a palaeontologist, before diverting to his other passion of wine, working in vineyards and as a McWilliam’s cellarhand before becoming a winemaker.
Bryan returns to the McWilliam’s team after a spell at Westend Estate, where he was winemaker since 2001.
In his time at Westend he built a formidable reputation as a talented and savvy winemaker, nominated last year by the Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine for “Winemaker of the Year”, the only NSW winemaker nominated.
Bryan was also a scholar at the prestigious Len Evans Tutorial in 2007 and was selected by the wine industry as a “Future Leader” in 2009.
He has been a wine show judge since 2003 at a wide range of shows throughout Australia, including the 2011 National Wine Show in Canberra and the 2013 Sydney International Wine Competition.
